Abbie’s Baptism

I know everyone has been waiting for me to add pictures to our blog so here we go. A couple of weeks ago we had Abbie baptized, since my dad is a deacon in the Catholic Church he was able to baptize her for us which makes the day even more special for all of us. We had a lot of friends and family that came and it meant a great deal to all of us that they were there to share in this special day with us.... We asked my brother Richard and his wife Lesa as well as grandma to be her Godparents they of course accepted with open arms. Richard and Lesa have spent most of there time away from us due to Richard being in the Air force, it is so nice to actually have them home now and to be able to spend time with them. We live just a few minutes away from each other and I am so glad the my children will be able to spend time with them as well as me and Rich.

I can't even tell you how much fun it was shopping for a baptism dress for Abbie, it wasn't easy to find one but once I saw this one I knew it was the perfect dress for her. Our close friend Jamie took all these pictures for us and this is probably one of my favorite pictures she has taken. There is just something about baby feet that makes me smile.

My handsome little guys

The boys are absolutely in love with there sister and were pretty excited that they were able to come to her baptism. The morning of her baptism Landon kept telling me not to forget her dress, I swear sometimes those kids think I am losing my mind, we won't tell them I probably am. I look at this picture and can't even believe how big they are getting before we know it they are going to be moved out and married. Just a quick update on the boys, Dominic has made it through his first month of kindergarten I can't believe how smart he is and how much he is learning, he comes home everyday and tells me all sorts of words and what letter they start with. He is starting to make new friends and seems to really enjoy going to school, thank goodness it is almost fall, for some reason he only wants to wear long pants and long sleeve shirts to school, it is hard to explain to him that it is 90 degrees outside and that he is going to be very hot if he wears that. Landon is doing well in school as well, he had a rough week a while back but is back to being a good boy at school now. He told us the other day that he had a girlfriend that other day when we asked him who it was he told us Mrs. Bick, his teacher how cute is that. He is learning a lot as well, he has had is colors down for a while but is really working on mastering his letters.

Our Wonderful Family

This is my amazing family as much as I hate having my picture taken I thought I would share this one since it was such a special day. Starting from left to right my sister in law Lesa then my hubby, me and Abbie, my dad then my mom the boys and last my brother. I am so glad that everyone was there. My brother and his wife have spent most of there time away from us since he was in the air force but now they are living here and lucky for us we only live about 5 minutes apart. My boys are in love with Uncle Richard and of course think that Aunt Lesa is pretty cool to. I am so glad that they are close again we have missed them over the past few years and are so glad that we can spend this time together now. My dad as I said was able to baptize Abbie which I know is something that is very special to him and to us alike, he has been able to baptize all of our children and it means a lot to us that he has been able to do this.

After her baptism my brother and his wife held an open house at there home and all of our friends and family were able to come and eat and have a great time. We had lots of food and anyone who knows our family knows that we always have enough food to feed an army. We had family there who were not able to make it to the baptism and we are so thankful that they were able to make it. My sister in law had this cute cake made at a little bakery in Ogden and it was delicious. I hope they know how thankful we are that they did this for us and for Abbie.

The start

Hello everyone.....so we have finally moved into the new age of blogging so bare with us as we get use to this new concept. Our house is busy as usual the boys are both in school Landon is in the 3yo preschool and goes 3 days a week and Dominic started all day Kindergarten, which just leaves Abbie home with me at least 3 days a week for a few hours.

Dominic is 5 now and loves school, it makes me sad that he is growing up so fast. He is my sweet baby boy who wears his heart on his sleeve, the second week of school he came home and told me that he had a girlfriend and that he had picked her a flower at school, I hope it wasn't a dandelion since that is what he seems to always find for me. He is an amazing big brother he is always asking me if he can hold his little sister and stops by to kiss her on the head every morning when he wakes up, I know that he really does love Landon although sometimes I wonder with all the fighting that occurs in my house.

Landon is our little monster he keeps us on our toes everyday, that kid can get himself into trouble without even trying. He is in love with school and especially his teacher first thing he does when he gets to school is go and give her a hug, as for mom I don't even get a hug or a see you later, I guess it is good he enjoys school that much. He is a great big brother as well he is always holding her hands and telling me how much he loves her little feet. He can also be a sweet loving little boy, but we have decided that he saves that for those for when he gets in trouble.

Last but least there is our new arrival, Abigail or Abbie as we call her, is just a perfect addition to our house, she is a pretty good baby so far she is sleeping for about 3-4 hours a night but she sure does love to sleep on her mom, which is sometimes really nice and other times not so comfortable. She is getting big already she just turned 6 weeks old and weighs about 9lbs 5ozs, she goes in for her 2 month check up at the end of this month. She was just baptized on Sunday that 6th which turned out beautifully she cried the entire time, so I guess it worked. We had a nice family gathering after and several of our friends and family came which meant a lot to all of us.

As for Rich and I we are both very busy raising our 3 wonderful children and working. Rich is still working for Waste Management and keeping busy, summer is coming to an end so he won't have to mow lawns for very much longer, which will be nice since that takes him away from us on the weekends that he doesn't have to work. He will be busy this winter though with all the things that we want to do inside the house to make it look more like us.

I am still working for the Sheriffs office which I really enjoy, I am starting back full time this week which is going to take some adjusting to but we will figure it out. My days off are spent doing everything that needs to be done around the house and running kids back and forth to school and stuff. We have been doing a lot of things as a family with our friends which has been a nice change, it is nice to get out of the house.
