The Latest News

Well this last couple of weeks has been pretty exciting in our house, not only because it was Christmas, but because we had several exciting things happen!

1st off we had Rich's Christmas party on the 17th, it was at The Little America hotel, we stayed the night had a lovely dinner, Rich won some money at bingo, but the best part of the entire night, besides spending and entire night with just my husband and no kids, was that he won the grand prize drawing a trip to HAWAII!!!! We are both so excited and can't wait to go, our plan as of right now is to take the trip that last week of September, it will be such a nice vacation for the two of us!

2nd was probably the fact that I got to spend 10 days at home with my kids and husband, we made cookies, watched Christmas movies, played games and just hung out. It was so nice to have time with my family and not have to leave for work, it was hard to come back to work and I miss them all dearly.

3rd was the fact that my sweet baby girl is officially POTTY TRAINED!!!! She was the easiest by far, it only took her two and a half days to master it, we have had no accidents, she tells me every time she has to go, and the best part is so is not afraid to go in public, which is nice cause it makes it easier to take her places. I don't know where the time has gone, it seems like just yesterday I had her and now she seems to be growing up so fast.

We had an amazing Christmas, the kids got everything they wanted, Dominic was very excited about his new bedding and his favorite toy is probably his leappad, Landon was excited about his bedding as well, I think he's favorite has to be his remote control truck by far, as for Abigail it's hands down her princess bike complete with a seat on the back for her baby dolls. Rich seemed happy with all his new tools and accessories and I was totally happy with my new camera and all my kitchen accessories.

We are ready for the new year and looking forward to making all the new memories we can!!!

Halloween

I really think that my kids probably get more excited about Halloween then they do about Christmas sometimes, this year was no different, they started telling me mid summer what they wanted to be this year. So this past week after Landon's dentist appointment I took both the boys out to pick their costumes.
Landon was probably the quickest on picking his costume out, he saw a motocross costume and since he is obsessed with this concept he picked it up right away and wouldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the night.
Dominic took a little longer, he had hoped to be the Cat In The Hat but we couldn't find one and I didn't think I would have time to make one before the big day, so after awhile of looking he finally settled for Transformers with gloves and a mask, he seemed pretty happy with his choice.
Abbie was pretty easy, my mom found the most darling ladybug costume, Abbie seems pretty excited about it this year and was already asking if she could wear it.
I will try and post some pictures as the day gets closer, we have a lot to do that weekend and the kids will get to wear their costumes at least a couple times that weekend.

Grandma

This week has been a very hard week, we as a family had to say good-bye to my dear sweet grandma, although her passing was expected I don't feel as though it made it any easier when the time actually came. She passed away surrounded by her loving family the morning of August 1st. I have reflected this past week on all the memories I have of my grandma and all the special time that we spent together she truly was an amazing person. I feel blessed that she was able to meet and spend time with each one of my children and that they were able to create memories that will last a life time. She was such an amazing person and I feel so blessed that she was a part of my life and I will treasure ever moment we spent together, wether it was going to the store for her weekly shopping trip or just a long chat about life we shared on a weekly visit. I will miss her dearly, rest in peace grandma until we are able to meet again.

To My Amazing Mom

Since Mother's day is almost here I thought that I would take a quick moment and give thanks to my amazing Mom, not only is she the best Mom I could have asked for she is also a wonderful Grandma as well.

Growing up my mom always made sure that we could do what we wanted, went to the best schools and were raised with manners and respect for one another and our elders, she ran our church youth group volunteered at our school, worked and shuttled myself and my brother where ever it was we needed to be. She pushed us to do our best at everything we did and always showed and told us how proud she was of us.

As I look back at the way I was raised I want to instill some of those same qualities into how I raise my own children, I want my children to feel the same love and respect for me as I do for my mom now that I am a parent and out on my own trying to raise my kids.

My mom gives of her time to anyone and everyone who needs it and asks for nothing in return, she packs her bags 3 days a week to come stay at our house so that myself and Rich can work. She helps with all the day to day functions of my house while we are away at work, keeping the house clean, laundry, dishes, homework so on and so forth.

She is an amazing person and an inspiration to me in so many ways, I just wanted to tell her THANK YOU for everything that you do, we all appreciate it more then you will ever know

Landon's Turning 5

I can't believe that Landon is already turning 5, seems like just yesterday I was on bed rest waiting for this special angel to make his entrance. He is my sweet boy that thinks that he is already an adult and keeps us on our toes every single day!

Age 1- You can always count on him for a smile

Age 2- He has always loved being outside

Age 3- So much personality

Age 4- Always so creative

There isn't a day that goes by that we are not thankful for this little man in our lives, he has brought so much to our family and provides us with entertainment each and everyday. He has taught us so much about being parents and we thank God each and everyday for bringing him into our lives.

March Already

As we move into March it's nice to have a little break from all the hustle of February, time to sit back and spend time with that family and get ready for Spring and all the fun that is yet to come.

The boys have been learning about Dr. Seuss this past week and have been preparing for Read Across America and Dr. Seuss's birthday which if you ask Dominic he will happily tell you is March 2nd, to prepare for the big day they got to make different hats like Cat In The Hat wears but they couldn't look the same which forced them to be creative, I must say their hats both look darling! Also in preparation for the week they had to bring in a new or gently used book to share with those who are less fortunate and don't have books to read, the boys quickly picked a new book to contribute and couldn't wait to take it to their teacher, I love the fact that the kids were excited about sharing with the community.

The next exciting event on the calendar for the month of March is the St Patricks Day Parade, as many of you know we walk with the kids school in this parade every year to show our support for Catholic Schools, the boys are super excited every year for this and love to go and pick out there green shirts! I will try to post some pictures of this fun event, lets hope that the weather is nice and warm and not snowing like last year!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Almost 7 years ago I gave birth to my sweet angel Dominic Wade, as I sit here and look back at some of the great memories we have made with this precious angel I can't help but get excited about what the future will hold for him! I thought I would share some sweet pictures of my beautiful boy as he has grown and changed over the years.
