Summer and into Fall a quick recap

So it's been forever since I have posted anything but it's been a busy few months so I will try to update on what has been going on since my last post in June.

The biggest thing that has happened is our sweet angle turned one on July 23rd, we had a huge party at our house with lots of food drinks and family, we lite fireworks once it got dark and just had a great time celebrating with our family and friends. She is growing up so fast I just don't know where all the time has gone, she has been walking since she was 11 months and now she is trying to hard to talk, it's hard for her to get a word in with her brothers around. She is learning and growing at an incredible rate and I can't wait to see what the future holds for her!

The next thing was the start of the school year, Dominic started 1st grade this year and he is loving every minute of it, he has settled into the class and is doing great! He seems to be doing the very best at spelling he has gotten 100% on all his test except 1 we couldn't be more proud of him. Landon started 4yo preschool this year and this is the first time that he has gotten to go to school everyday and they decided to have them wear uniforms this year and can I just say he looks so handsome and grown up in his! He is loving school as well, doesn't really care for Monday's and Tuesday's when he has to sleep over at school (This is his explanation for having to go to extended day those days) he says that it takes to long for him to see me, which of course made me smile. All in all they are both doing very well and growing and learning as well.

Also in August we had Richards birthday and our Anniversary, we have been married for 6 years and I feel blessed that I have been able to spend them with such an amazing husband and father.

We also finished putting in our backyard this summer and it looks amazing, Rich laid a new walk way to the shed, built a deck and framed in our lawn I love sitting out there and looking at what a great job he did, I can't believe how much we have been able to change and improve since moving in there just 2 years ago.

As of now things have finally started to slow down for the fall, only to pick back up here in a month or so. Right now we are just preparing for Halloween the kids are very excited and keep asking me daily if its time to wear their costumes yet, Dominic is going to be Buzz Lightyear and Landon picked Woody, I was going to try and have Abbie be Jesse from Toy Story but that's kind of hard since she is still so little so I found a darling Butterfly costume I am pretty sure they will all look cute as can be.

Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween

Happy Fathers Day

So I decided that it would be a good idea since Fathers Day is coming up shortly that I would center this post around my amazing husband and let him know just what an amazing father I think he is. In the seven years that we have been together six of those have been spent with little ones running around, starting with your oldest Dominic.

I remember to this day Dominic being born and the look on Rich's face of pure excitement and love, he was so helpful and caring as we both tried to figure out this new parenting thing by ourselves for the first time. Then came Landon who was not the easiest baby in the world but Rich spent many a night trying to get him to sleep while I was at work, singing and rocking him well and running the vacuum of course. Then our last little one came along Abbie and she is already Daddy's little girl, she smiles at him that minute that he gets home and wanders throughout the house saying dadada it's a sweet thing to see.

He always goes that extra mile to help out with the kids, taking care of them while I work at night, cleaning up after them, making lunch, wrestling of course because we all know that is what boys do, teaching them things they need to know and just being an all around amazing father and I know that I could have not picked a better person to be a father to my children them him.

So from the bottom of my heart thank you for being the amazing person that you are and for being such and outstanding father to our children and husband to me!!!!!!!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Guess Who Is Turning 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So our sweet baby boy Landon is turning 4 years old next week and I have no idea where the time has gone. He has been asking for months when it is finally going to be his birthday so lets just say he is very excited that it is really soon. We are just having a small party at our house Lighting McQueen style as he requested. I thought I would share just a couple of pictures of him over the past couple years, I can't believe how much he has grown in such a short amount of time.
Landon at about age 2 1/2 on our yearly trip to the zoo, we almost didn't get to go see any of the animals he loved this playground so much.

Landon on his first road trip and it was a long one, we drove to Missouri as a family he did really well and had some fun I think, good thing we didn't forget his shades.
Landon at age 2, a family friend took this picture for us, funny how much he is smiling in this one, now I can't get him to smile for pictures at all.

This one just had to be thrown in for fun, Landon has always been my little eater and you can tell from this picture it started at a young age, funny thing is the older he gets the more he seems to get on his face and clothes, I thought it was suppose to be less.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET BABY BOY WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

St. Patricks Day and Spring

Well we finally made it out of our busy month of February and March seems to be off to a running start, this month is not as busy for us and the previous but still lots to do as anyone would know if you have three kids.

Landon and I have spent the past week getting the garden ready for spring, lots of raking and pulling of weeds, along with lots of clean up to have everything looking its best. We have a few plants that look like they are getting ready to bloom for spring and the tree in our front yard is starting to get buds on it as well. I have to say that I really enjoyed spending this time with him doing some bonding, he loves to be outside getting dirty and was a great help to me in the process.

This past weekend the kids and I did our yearly ritual of going downtown to walk in the St. Patrick's Day parade. This is something that we do every year to show our support for the kids school, they have always had a float in the parade, as a way to raise awareness of Catholic Schools and the great education they provide. I thought it would be a fun experience this year to take front runner from our house to the city, so that's what we did, the boys loved it and were to my surprise actually very good. We made our way to the start of the parade and waited for it to be our turn, well for those who remember what the weather was like on Saturday, you will understand that this was in no way as fun as it was last year, we got poured on, it rained and rained the entire time we were out there, so needless to say the boys did not enjoy this as much as they had in the past, Abbie was the only one who was able to stay warm and dry the entire time. Once the parade was over we quickly got to a warm place had some lunch and then walked back to catch the train home in a snow storm, despite the weather I think they did have some fun and we will be back to do it all again next year.

I am sure that more fun is on its way for this month, the kids keep talking about the Leprechauns coming to their school, and they seem pretty interested in St. Patrick's Day this year so I am going to try and make it a little fun for them at home as well.

Birthdays and Valentines

I can't beleive that it is already February, where has the time gone seriously. This is a busy month for us, we have birthdays and Valentines this month and as everyone knows its a short month anyway so that doesn't help.

We start the month off with my birthday, as much as I would like to skip it the older I get I have yet to figure out a way to do so, this year there is nothing big planned I think we are just going to hang out with a dear friend of mine and have some fun. I know as we get older we tend to want to try and forget about our birthdays all together, but I can honestly say I am so thankful for everything I have been blessed with in my lifetime and a birthday just means that I have one more year to enjoy all those things.

Next its Valentines Day, this isn't a big holiday in our house but sure a busy one now that I have two kids in school. Dominic this year gets to makes his Valentine box at school and I can honestly say I was a little sad about that this year. We have always made this together as mom and son and to not be able to do that this year makes me realize how much he is growing up which is probably why I am really sad. Landon gets to have his first Valentines Day party at school, we haven't heard about his box yet but I am hoping that I might get to make one with him, maybe I am just reliving my childhood through my boys. This of course will be Abbie's first Valentines, I know she won't remember but every holiday is so special when their your last babies first.

Last but not least is Dominic's birthday. Where has the time gone, he will be turning 6 this month and it seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. He has been excited about his birthday since Christmas and keeps telling me that he wants a criminal birthday, at first we were a little worried, but figured out quickly this is his name for the Hulk. We aren't doing anything really big this year just a family gathering with a few of our close friends as well, but I am sure it will be a blast and he will enjoy it very much.

We can't beleive that our little girl is going to be turning six months old this month seems like it was just yesterday that we brought her home..... I thought that I would share some random pictures of her from the last six months.....It's truly amazing how much they change in such a short amount of time.....

Merry Christmas 2009!!!!!

Abigail's first Christmas....We had to put her up on the table to prevent her from getting lost in the disaster that was about to take place....Once the boys were all finished with the many things that Santa brought then we cleared a spot for her to open her presents.....

Look I can sit by myself!!!!!

Just in the most recent days she has learned how to sit up by herself, its only for a few seconds most the time so I try and keep something soft behind her to soften the fall.....She is just getting so big.

If I scoot on my belly I can get anything I want to get my hands on....

She has mastered scooting all over the floor to reach whatever she wants, which is sometimes good and sometimes not so good....

Getting ready to crawl!!!!!

We are pretty sure that she will be moving around the house any time now....She has been able to get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth and she does move forward a little bit, but she hasn't mastered moving everything at the right time yet....

First Thanksgiving!!!!

This year we spent Thanksgiving at my mom and dads house....We try to switch back and forth between eachothers house so the same person doesn't have to cook every year.....The day was spent sharing what we are all so very thankful for....I have to say this is the first year that not one of my kids was sick on Thanksgiving, so that was ofcourse one of the many things I was thankful for....

Welcome Little One!!!!!

We welcomed our precious baby girl at 5:50 am on Thursday July 23,2009 and as you can see we were not the only ones who were so happy that she was here....Landon sure does have a special place in his heart for his little sister and he is a great big brother....

A brothers love!!!!!

Dominic was so excited when we told him that he was going to have a little sister and he shows us each and everyday just how much he loves her.....

Our Precious Girl!!!!

These first six months have gone by so fast and I am sure the next six months are going to fly by just as quickly....We are just going to enjoy every moment and be so grateful for all the blessings in our life....
